How much notice do you require?
It’s never too early to book, as soon as you decide to have a party, give me a call.
How long are your parties?
Most birthday parties are two hours long. However, if you wish to organise your own games there is the option to book for one hour of entertainment (e.g. a comedy Magic Show, excellent balloon modelling and Ollie the Orange Monster puppet).
Do you offer any other forms of entertainment?
Yes, walk-about balloon modelling is available, this can be booked to fit any event, and for any length of time. It can also be booked with some close up/children's magic too.
How many people can I invite?
You can have as many guests as you want, although for birthday parties which include games, it is better to keep numbers below 25 if possible. That said, if you are booking for the one hour show only then up to a maximum of 35 children is fine. There is no limit on number of children for walk-about balloon modelling.
Is there a minimum number of children required?
It is good to have at least 10 children if possible to create a better atmosphere for the show.
Where do you perform your parties?
Parties can be performed just about anywhere except outdoors. You can have your party at home, in a church hall, village hall or community centre.
Can I have the party at home?
Yes, I have performed at many a house party.
What should I look for when booking a venue?
It’s a good idea to check the venue personally before booking for cleanliness, size, easy access and parking. Also check that they have the amount of chairs and tables that you will require.
NB I will ideally need a parking space near to the party to carry my equipment in and also an electric plug socket for some of my electrical equipment.
Try to arrange to get access to the room/hall at least 30-60 minutes before the party start time, so that we can both get ready before your guests arrive. I only need about 15 minutes to set up, but usually arrive approximately 25 minutes before the start time to allow for any unplanned problems.
You will need at least 30 minutes after the party to get everything cleaned and packed up.
Finally always get an emergency mobile number in case you turn up at the hall and it has not been unlocked.
What age are your parties suitable for?
I will perform for children aged 4 and older. Balloon modelling is fun for any age from 3 to 99 years old.
Please note balloons can be dangerous for children under 3 years old.
What are your prizes?
Excellent balloon modelling prizes are supplied for both comedy Magic Show helpers and as prizes throughout my party games sessions.
Do you bring a music/disco?
All music is supplied. If your child has a favourite song or artist, please inform me and I’ll try and bring it along. As for a disco, I don't have a full disco set up, although I do have some flashing lights and a bubble machine which give the children an impression that they have their own mini disco.
Are you police checked?
Yes, I am police checked and my CRB certificate is available for inspection.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, as a member of Equity I have full PLI insurance.
